Diary of a Young Naturalist
I explored both traditional and digital image making processes through leaf prints, scans, photography and digital illustrations.
The paint created interesting textures from the veins in the leaves. This creates an extra dimension to the collages to elevate them from just photography to something that also feels hand crafted and imperfect.
The cover design also utilises text from within the book to create a texture background that compliments the handwritten typography.
